"Before speaking with two other companies, I called Same Day Air Repair. I wasn’t hopeful I’d get anyone out right away let along someone offering us same day service. Yes, I know it says same day but really? Mike, the technician, came out and immediately started his evaluation. He was very thorough and told us the same thing the previous technician told us. The difference was customer service. Unlike the other tech, he did not try to sell us a new air conditioner (the one we have is five years old) he simply told us what it would cost to repair it. We needed a very expensive part and a bit of wiring done. Unlike the previous agent, he contacted the manufacturer and saved us the cost of the part! The installer, Hayden, after acquiring the part, came the next day, installed the part and was a perfect gentleman. I gave both Mike and Hayden huge pieces of pineapple cheesecake (they were both quite a bit smaller than my husband and me so no harm done) and a senior citizen of 78, thanked them for not trying to sell her a $15,000 air conditioner. "American Home Shield Warranty contractor. They have been out a couple of times to nurse my aged re-conditioned AC/heat unit. This time the compressor went out and AHS would cover it, but I would have to pay for the "old" refrigerant, nearly $2,000.00. AND, AHS would have to use a rebuilt compressor so it would match the condenser. AARRGHH! Although AHS covers such things UP TO $5,000.00, a NEW unit prices out above that. Figuring that I would have to pay for the "old" refrigerant at some point again until the supply runs out, I decided to go in debt for a totally new Goodman unit for just under $11,000.00. Steve, one of the current employees, has held our hands through the trauma of boiling to death in Phoenix!! He also gave me good advice. AHS may have covered some of the cost, I do not know for sure. YES, I could have gone to Costco or another source where the units are about $3500 before installation. Installed, the condo is cleaner, cooler and quieter with no more worries! The team that made the install, Cory and one other guy, sweate it out in 110 degrees on the roof and did a super job!! Thank You, Same Day Air!!"

"For Cory, Angel, and Froylan..... Multiple techs from (Same Day Air Repair) were very polite, considerate, and professional. Froylan was the first tech that had come out to fix why it wasn't blowing cool air anymore. He even checked his boots so as to not track dirt in the house. Sadly, the compressor had seized. 21 year old A/C system, and it ran on R-22 (Freon). He said we could TRY to just replace the compressor on a system that old, but that it may just fail pretty quickly. We'd had compressor issues in the past with this unit anyway. Seemed like it was time to face the inevitable and get with the times. Replace with a new R-454B 2tn system. $11k total. The next day Cory and Angel had come out and were working hard for about 6 hours installing this. Again, very polite and professional. At one point they were gonna keep their water bottles outside, but we insisted they put them in the fridge. That's gotta be insanely tough working in the 89-90F degree heat working on this for hours, killing your arms and shoulders installing components up into the ceiling. The whole time they were great, courteous , professional, and polite. They explained that they're managed well and they get nice benefits for giving a pleasant experience and earning that nice review. These guys did really well across 3 different techs across 2 different days. Very satisfied and they were life savers getting a new system out to us THE NEXT DAY to save us from that Arizona heat."

Service Tech Keith came out and tried a number of things to troubleshoot the issue. He determined the Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) in the attic was stuck open and frozen and needed to be replaced. Also, the Disconnect attached to the house near the compressor unit had fallen apart and also needed to be replaced. Part store had closed for the day but they got both parts first thing next morning. Service Tech Hayden came out in the morning and explained the repairs before doing the work. An hour later, AC was cooling again. Overall, a great experience with this company! Was also impressed with the clear communications and technology used by Same Day AIR Repair—including texts when they were on their way, real-time tracking of their repair trucks, and names and photos of the techs that were working my job. I felt very comfortable talking to him as he was very approachable, 2) the guy who came for the first time, Jo M was amazing. Where nobody cares to wear masks anymore, he came to my door with a good social distance. He asked if I prefer him to wear masks. In this heat, he did not show any discomfort and continued to respect my wish to keep masks on. He replaced some part before deciding to change the fan motor. He ensured me to put a note that someone needs to come back as priority to replace the motor if the issue persists after replacing it. When the fan wasn’t working again, they came right back! "Jay saved the day! When he showed up, we talked for a few minutes & I asked when the rest of his crew would arrive. He smiled and said he was the crew. I couldn't imagine one person doing a complete replacement of the air conditioner on my roof. Sure enough, the only other person during the work was the smiley crane operator. Jay did everything. Removed old unit, installed new unit, replaced thermostat, explained what "split" is, and was great to talk with the whole afternoon. I probably slowed him a bit with all my questions, but he answered everything. Once the install was complete, he was back on the roof cleaning. I asked when the unit would start, but he said it was already running. This is amazingly quiet! And my yard & house are amazingly clean - not a scrap of trash left behind. I'm not easily impressed and I don't generally provide ratings, but Jay earned all 5 stars. If there was a 5+ option, he would get it. He said it was a blockage and the Schrader valve core was bad that’s why it wasn’t cooling as it had leaked out the Freon in the system from the bad Schrader valve, core, He made the fixes, filled up the Freon in the system and its been working properly since. They could have changed out the compressor and made the higher dollar amount, instead, they did the proper repair. Tells a lot about Same Day Air of their honesty and integrity as a company. James also set the record straight after another company (Crispy Air) lied during a first inspection & reported a "hole in the line & 9lbs. light on refrigerant" but refused to show photos of the "hole" - ultimately, James got the heater working within 5 minutes of entering our home. He also re-checked the work of (Crispy Air) & took photos (which he showed us -willingly). Although there was no hole & was not light on refrigerant so we could have kept the unit as is - the HVAC is 30 yrs old & James recommended to upgrade the unit. We found him to be very trustworthy so ultimately even though we had a working unit we opted to upgrade with Same Day Air 3) Bill & Mike showed up today (04/08/24) to install the new HVAC unit. They were on time & speedy with the installation but also VERY thorough and cleaned up all components. Before leaving our home, Bill showed us how to operate the new electronic thermostat & showed us all the photos of the newly installed unit AND the old unit too. Bill also made an adjustment to how the unit was positioned on the roof so the HVAC rested on a full frame elevated off the roof tiles vs. partially resting directly against the roof as it was originally positioned by the builder. I know I will personally be using this company for any and all of my future HVAC needs. What makes this company so great? To start, let’s say their Communication about the appointment and dispatch of the technician was prompt and accurate. I received emails with appointment confirmation as well as text messages. I was then texted the day of service one customer visit prior to mine to alert me of being next in line for my technician. A small but important detail to me. Then, I was sent a text once my technician was enroute to my home and a call from the technician with his ETA. A quality level of communication rarely experienced these days. Next, the technician that arrived, Ian Robinson, was immediately friendly and demonstrated true empathy for my kids and I, considering our AC was not working. As my technician diagnosed the issues with my system, he took the time to explain the components and what and why he was testing and what he expected to see if the unit was functioning properly. This level of professionalism settled my nerves and reassured me that the issues uncovered were accurate and honest. I was informed of my units issues and the options for repair or replace and walked thru the benefits or concerns of each option. This, again, assured me that Ian and Same Day Air Repair were here to help my kids and I, and not here to suggest the highest cost option only. The technician, Ian, made me feel comfortable with the repair option I decided, and at no point attempted to upsell or recommended added options. The repairs were completed swiftly and had my AC unit running better than it had since I bought the home over 8 years ago. The last part was the extra time Ian spent educating me about what to expect from my system and how to plan for the future with an aging system. Ian then walked me thru steps on how to help extend the life of my HVAC system. Ian finished up by doing one final walk thru confirming the repairs had resolved my AC issues and then he thanked me for allowing him to help my family. I went through my AHS home warranty. I put it in Sunday night they saw me the next day, originally they said Tuesday, which I understood. It’s a busy season for these people!
